Welcome to Thankful Tuesday!
I am tremendously thankful that I woke up this morning feeling like I had slept twelve hours instead of the six that I actually slept.
I am thankful for my master’s program. I just finished writing an abstract generated from the ideas I’ve been discussing in the Mythology and the Bible series here on the blog—and I’m stinking excited about it!
I am thankful for an awesome mom. She’s been a big help with wedding stuff lately (she likes spreadsheets even more than I do, which is saying a lot!).
I am thankful for my clients in the Writing Center and the way they allow me to open up the writing process to them. It’s magical every time.
I am thankful for heart-of-my-heart friends who live in Dallas, who are getting married two weeks after us, and who let us hang out with them all of this past weekend. In particular, I am thankful for their church and the opportunity to breathe in weight and activity of the city—to be reminded of the diversity of the world. I am thankful for stranger-friends, people who you meet for the first time but who instantly get you.
I am thankful for the recent stimulation of friend-bloggers (Matt, Fish, and Seth)—people I know in real life, who I run into sometimes, who are also publicly writing and thinking. I like the community.
I am thankful for late nights and the clarity that those nights sometimes bring me, especially last Saturday night.
I am thankful in advance for this coming weekend. Being as it is the weekend before Spring Break (which I will be both working and writing during), I can afford to not do any homework. Amanda and I aren’t sure yet how we are going to spend the much needed days off, but I am very much looking forward to it.
Today is a good day.
P.S. This post is part of the Thankful Tuesday series here on the blog, originally inspired by Micha Boyett. Link up, y’all!
What are you thankful for?
