Story, Beauty, and a World that Means

His Gospel is Peace

1

I will hear what God the Lord will speak:
for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints:

The Gospel. He will speak to us the good news of peace; the enmity with creation and ourselves and our neighbors is ended.

but let them not turn again to folly.

For Peace shall reign unto the ages of ages.

Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him;
that glory may dwell in our land.

In our persons does the Kingdom dwell; in our very hearts. His salvation is nearer to us than our breaths; we await only the final consummation.

Mercy and truth are met together;
righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

All dichotomies are ended; all opposites joined. Righteousness holds in the peace of the King.

Truth shall spring out of the earth;
and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

The collapse of the in-between; the erasure of distance. By his blood, this old world yields forth the truths of Heaven.

Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good;
and our land shall yield her increase.

The word of the Lord.

Righteousness shall go before him;
and shall set us in the way of his steps.

Thanks be to God. Alleluia and Amen.
